Frequently Asked Questions
GENERAL
Who do you work with?
I specialize in supporting parents with children aged 3 - 22 years old. Many of the families I work with have a child with learning differences, disAbilities, or behavioral challenges—but I also work with families that have a child who need a boost in confidence, support navigating a private school setting, or help building stronger foundational skills.
What locations do you service?
I currently provide services anywhere in the United States. I can meet virtually or in person, if you are in the Northern Virginia area.
SERVICES
What is student advocacy?
Student advocacy means helping families navigate the special education system and ensure their child receives appropriate services and support. I work with you through the process—from requesting evaluations to participating in IEP meetings—to help you understand your child’s rights and speak up with confidence.
Do you attend IEP meetings?
Yes! I attend IEP and eligibility meetings with families, either in person or virtually. I help review documents, prepare questions, and ensure your voice is heard during the process.
What kind of educational testing do you provide?
I offer comprehensive academic evaluations to assess your child’s strengths, challenges, and learning profile. These can include Independent Educational Evaluations (IEEs), testing for private school accommodation requests, and general evaluations for families seeking clarity on how their child learns best.
Can you help with behavior challenges?
Yes! I offer behavioral consultations and support, particularly for children with moderate to profound disabilities. My work draws on years of experience in Enhanced Autism Classrooms, Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), and natural environment teaching (NET). I help families create practical behavior plans that work at home and school.

Services are private pay and not billed through insurance. However, some testing and tutoring expenses may qualify for reimbursement through HSA/FSA accounts. I’m happy to provide itemized receipts.
